That's Just How We Red Teddy Bears Do.

This week my Red Teddy Bears have been defying authority and showing up to class with mismatched socks. It started out with just one, but now it's all three. They were so excited that first day when they pointed to my socks and said "Teacher! Socks no match." Well. I had to put a stop to that.

"No. Say, 'Teacher, your socks don't match.'"

Now they are wearing their socks the same way and buying matching pencil cases. Matching to me, that is. I have a green one that says "Are you smiling?" and now they each have one, too, in different colors. They're dressing like me, talking like me and now shopping like me. This is gonna be one mad crazy school in a few months. Someone should turn these kids loose in America.

I feel like this could go either way at this point. The true test of my job security, if you will. If they have no problem with me, they'll think it's cute and talk about it and giggle amongst themselves. If they're looking for a reason to fire me, then this is it.

Either way, it was worth it to walk into my class and hear my Red Teddy Bears say, "Teacher, look! Our socks don't match! We are the same."
